Holiday Open House at Southeastern Guide Dogs

The holiday open house was held at Southeastern Guide Dogs on December 3, 2011. The weather was perfect as hundreds of visitors toured the campus, hugged puppies, brushed and petted adult dogs who are on campus for their formal harness training, took blindfold walks with future guide dogs, enjoyed the Calendar Girls dancing performance, sat on Santa's lap, and ate grilled hot dogs.

We wanted to share some pictures from the festivities so our out of town puppy raiser friends could enjoy.

The Calendar Girls not only did a fantastic dance routine,
they brought a check to SEGD to sponsor their 5th puppy Jerni,
who is named after Michael Jernigan, who is matched with a
guide dog through the Paws for Patriots program.

The parking lot filled up soon after 9:00 am.

Guests signed in and petted Puppies in Training and
Ambassador dogs while they waited for their tour to begin.

Ambassador dog Tez with Laurie enjoyed meeting & greeting the visitors.

Ambassador dog Duke, who dressed in his finest holiday attire was
happy to meet so many people.

The young Puppies in Training were a hit with the visitors.
