Weekly Spotlight - J.P. 13E11

This is the first installment of:
 Weekly Spotlight
 highlighting the puppies, people,
and activities of the
Bradenton Puppy Raiser Group.

J.P., pictured above in his "Got milk?" pose is a handsome black goldador born February 7, 2011. He is #13 of 14 black puppies born to black Labrador Miss Fay and Golden Retriever Max.

J.P. is being co-raised by Bradenton Area Coordinator Fran Kramer and Bradenton Puppy Raiser Susan LeBourgeois.

Fran's puppy raising career began in New Jersey in 1991. She and her then teen-aged daughter Lesley co-raised 5 puppies for 'The Seeing Eye' in Morristown, N.J.; Francine, Katie, Sasha, Benson (who all became Seeing Eye Dogs) & Neal, who was career changed and became her beloved pet for 14 years. To date Fran has raised 4 puppies for SEGD, Lucy (SEGD Ambassador), Daisy (a working Arson Dog), Dorothy (a working Guide Dog), and Millard (currently IFT), and had finished 2 dogs; Charlie & Morgan. She is also an on campus volunteer at SEGD and a regular volunteer at SEGD's Sarasota Discovery Center.

Susan, recently moved to Florida's west coast and brought with her a great deal of horse training experience which helps make her a natural at training dogs. She began volunteering at SEGD in 2010 and finished a yellow goldador, Wheeler. On the SEGD campus Susan has volunteered with the puppy socialization program in the puppy kennel and also at the front desk greeting visitors to the SEGD campus.
