Catching Up

The Bradenton Puppy Raiser Blog has some catching up to do as the first quarter of 2015 has been quite busy with walkathons, meetings, and puppy showers, oh my.

We kicked off the season at the Bradenton walkathon where we had beautiful weather and a great turnout.

Career changed, Lady, convinces Joanne to give her some loving.

The next walkathon attended was in St. Petersburg, where the weather was a bit more gloomy, as were some of the raiser's spirits as it was also In For Training Day for Amanda and Steve's pup, Bobb. However, there was a ray of sunshine as they also picked up their newest pup; sweet, adorable LuLu.

Bobb, on the far right with raiser Amanda, got to meet some of his siblings at Guide Dog U after the St. Petersburg walkathon.

The sun came back out for the Sarasota walkathon, where Jeff and Linda and their puppy-in-training, Ava were joyously welcomed by Team Ava.

In between all of the walkathons, we had a fun meeting at Hunsader Farms in east Bradenton, where the pups all had the chance to meet a variety of farm animals.  The sweet little pony was the "paws down" favorite.  All the pups were also well behaved as we enjoyed a picnic lunch under the beautiful oaks.

Penny also loved the little pony.
Next up was a puppy shower for Sophia and her adorable litter of seven pups.  Bette raised Sophia in our group and is now her breeder host and rightfully proud of Sophia and her pups.

Sweet tired puppy.

Yes, Sophia, you certainly do deserve a rest!
While all of the above fun was going on, our group also welcomed two new pups.   Debbie is now raising Remy and new puppy raiser, Shirley F. is raising Willie.

Whew.  I told you we have been busy.  We have another puppy meeting on Saturday and another Walkathon in Ft. Myers the following Saturday, so stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, hug a puppy, walk your dog, and enjoy the beautiful Florida spring.   Woof Woof
