Southeastern Guide Dogs Ambassador Spirit 3J09 was raised in the Bradenton Puppy Raiser Group. She was career changed due to hips and became a SEGD Ambassador after passing her AKC Canine Good Citizen Test and Therapy Dog Inc.Certification. Spirit was named the 2012 Youth Volunteer of the Year at Williams Elementary School and was the recipient of the 2012 Manatee County Schools Outstanding Volunteer of the Year 'Spirit' Award.

Katie Hoyer and Josh Yohn read to Spirit on Thursday during the Ambassador dog's visit to Williams Elementary School. Spirit is a Southeastern Guide Dogs Ambassador that visits the school once a week to participate in a program where 1st grade students to read to her.
